It brings us great joy to grow for our community. We can always make time to talk about what we do and welcome “feedback”.
Our Farming Principles
Regenerative Agriculture
Ancient Futures
Long ago, our ancestors radically altered their environment by cultivating food crops to supplement what was foraged and hunted. In some places, people learned to sustain healthy, fertile soils for millennia. In others, the ecosystem all but collapsed. We are striving for balance; producing quality food crops for revenue while upholding our responsibility to the living world. Beneath all that we do lies a foundation of gratitude and respect for the nature. In practice, we demonstrate this by the use of cover crops and natural mulches, inter-planting different species, making compost and using only organic amendments to balance soil chemistry and nurture soil biology.

Our Special Sauce
The Modern Milpa: a family food plot… Basically, we just want to live naturally with the people we love. At the core of our efforts is a simple desire to provide our children and our community with vibrant and nourishing food! There is no stronger motivation.
Loving every minute of it
the best of what’s around…
2026 marks our first year of production on leased land in Montgomery County. This year, we are focused on generating a sustainable income through vegetable sales. We are also working towards building infrastructure and developing a network of food producers interested in collaborating.
Ultimately, we aim to rejuvenate the local farmer to market connection by providing the very best our local growers and ranchers can produce all in one place, year round. Think of it sort of like a farmer’s market that’s open every day, without so much risk and strain on the farmer.
Years of observations and deliberation from the production side of things have made it clear to us that the modern food supply chain overwhelmingly favors industrial farms and distribution conglomerates. If we wish to retain independent and resilient food systems, we need to participate in them! We are currently seeking other local producers of nutrient-dense vegetables and herbs, eggs, meats, cheese and grains. If you think this might be a boon for you or someone you know, reach out!
